This piece was performed in NYC and in Venice

This piece was played many times, including in Amsterdam, Nice, London, and Denver. The tuning is "Harmonic 13" in which each note is formed by a ratio that contains the number 13 or its multiple.

This early recording is of the only performance ever of the late Paavo Heininen's full work for bassoon and tape was at an early age of sound broadcast. I other words, I had tape his on the original recording. Modern editing using Audacity completely refreshed the recording giving a more satisfying sound than the audience had during the world premiere.
